Well, that's the epic Virgin Active London Triathlon finished for another year - and what an event it was.
On the 22nd and 23rd September, over 13,500 people took part in the three-part race, swimming, running and cycling to score their best personal time or simply raise money for their favourite charity. It was an impressive event to witness in the busy capital, with a number of roads closed and traffic diverted to protect the participants and spectators who'd come to cheer them on.
A number of famous faces also took part, including Sir Richard Branson, Alexandra Burke, Gareth Gates, Louie Spence and Mark Ramprakash, alongside elite athletes and scores of ordinary people looking for a sporting challenge. Everyone was pretty pleased with their accomplishment - despite some blustery weather on the Sunday which meant conditions were less than ideal!
We've compiled some of the images shared on Twitter to give you a flavour of the event:

If you're feeling inspired to try a triathlon of your own (or took part this year and simply can't wait to go again!), you can already register your interest for the 2013 event. This gives you plenty of time to start training and getting yourself organised - perhaps it's time to renew that gym membership, sign up for individual health insurance, and start eating healthily and generally getting your body in condition!
Did you take part in this year's Virgin Active London Triathlon? We'd love to hear about your experience!
